Capt. Richard
McCarty's militia co. of the town of Cahokia. The year is 1779, October.
We depict a line co. with blue coats and red facings of the colony of Virginia.
Most of our accouterments are of Spanish and French origin as Cahokia was
settled by the French and most trade came up the Missisippi River from
New Orleans which was in Spanish territory.
Most of our members are located in Ohio. If anyone
is interested in re-enacting a Regt. in the area that it existed, please
